BESUT, July 21- The Barisan Nasional’s (BN) campaign for the Kuala Besut is now in ‘fifth gear’ and focusing on voters in remote areas and who have not yet been approached, said Barisan Nasional (BN) Publicity and Information Bureau chairman Datuk Ahmad Maslan.
“Our strategy is man-marking, person-to- person contact, small discussions (tazkirah) but not talks (ceramah). We are also producing flyers to support our campaign.

“When we combine all these, including leaders visits and efforts, we are confident that this seat will be with the BN again.” said Ahmad, who is also Umno information chief.
Kuala Besut by-election on July 24, will be between BN candidate Tengku Zaihan Che Ku Abd Rahman, 37, an engineer and local PAS candidate, Endot@Azlan Yusof, 48, a businessman.
Kuala Besut has 17,683 voters and the seat fell vacant following the death of incumbent Dr A Rahman Mokhtar of the BN on June 26 due to lung cancer.
