AUG 1- South actor and superstar Rajniknath’s son-in-law Dhanush has taken off to Europe for a month long vacation after the success of his debut Hindi film Raanjhanna.
The film directed by Anand L Rai has registered an all India collection of Rs.58.65 crore so far.
Before the release of the film there was much speculation about whether Dhanush would make the cut in the northern belt but he proved everyone wrong when his premier acting effort in Hindi not only got him critical acclaim but also box office success after the film released on June 21 last month.
It was not the acting in a Hindi film that drained out the actor. Even dubbing for the film in Hindi though difficult for the actor was something he managed like a true professional.
A source close to the production house points out, “Dhanush was traumatisd by the extensive Bollywood style promotions he had to go through to promote and market the film. It will take him some time to recover.”
Let’s hope he returns all re-charged for his second innings in Bollywood.
