Bhutan’s PM To Visit India

NEW DELHI, Aug 30 – Bhutan’s Prime Minister, Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay (photo) is visiting India, his first overseas trip after being elected to the post, following the second democratic election in Bhutan last month.

0_137550541808_newsHe is being accompanied by his spouse Aum Tashi Doma, Foreign Minister, Lyonpo Rinzin Dorje, and senior officials from the Royal Government of Bhutan during the six-days visit being Aug 30, 2013.

The visit is in conformity with the tradition of regular exchange of visits at the highest levels between India and Bhutan, and adds momentum to the time-tested and enduring relations between both countries, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said.

During the visit, all areas of mutual interest including our political, security, developmental, economic and cultural cooperation, would be discussed, said the Ministry.
