LIMA, Sept 10- Peru’s President, Ollanta Humala that despite the revisions of growth forecast, the country remains one of the leading economies in the region and the world.
Humala said that the decline in the growth forecast for this year is also seen in other countries, due to the international economic context.
The Peruvian leader made the statements during a visit to Caylloma district, in southern Arequipa, where he provided humanitarian aid to people affected by cold.
He said that the the government is working with Agro Rural on genetic improvement of cold tolerance of the alpacas fibre.
Humala also stated that the Ministry of Agriculture will offer training programs to increase the price of alpaca fiber in the market.
