SEPT 23- Actor- producer Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) has a good strategy of derisking a film business model.
First he makes a co-production deal with a prominent production house or a wellknown producer and then he charges his own fees at market value for acting in the movie.
Chennai Express is a classic example of this business model. The movie was produced by Red Chillies with Disney UTV as co-producers.
Sources say the actor charged Rs.20 crore for working in the film. At the last count , Chennai Express has broken all records with a collection of over Rs.225 crore.
