JAKARTA, Sept 25- Malindo Air on Monday commenced daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta and will on Thursday, launch a service to Denpasar, Bali.
The introduction of the two new routes linking Malaysia and Indonesia, is in response to rising air travel demand.
“The increasing demand is an opportunity for Malindo Air to develop its operations between Malaysia and Indonesia and the routes will serve passengers seven days a week,” Lion Air General Affairs Director, Edward Sirait said here.
Malindo Air is a joint venture between Indonesia’s Lion Air and Malaysia’s National Aerospace and Defence Industries (NADI).
Edward said the new routes would facilitate trips to Indonesia for business people and tourists from Malaysia.
Malindo Air launched its inaugural flight on March 22, serving the Kuala Lumpur-Kota Kinabalu route.
