SEPT 26- Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) has decided not to charge from people for attending their PM nominee Narendra Modi’s rally in Delhi. Unlike Modi’s previous rallies in Hyderabad and Indore where the party had charged a token entry fee of Rs. five and Rs. ten respectively, the Delhi rally is going to be free of cost.
The Gujarat chief minister is scheduled to address a rally in Rohini’s Japanese Park on September 29.
Out of power in Delhi since last 15 years, BJP is hopeful that Modi’s rally will help in revival of its fortunes in the national capital. The party has made special arrangements to ensure a smooth rally, where the party is expecting about five lakh people in the rally.
BJP has set up 18 party panels to oversee the preparations for the rally.
Former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta has been appointed convener of the event.
The committees would look into the various aspects of the event like sanitation, water, traffic and transport, media relations and publicity, among others.
Apart from Gupta, other BJP members overseeing the preparations are Jaibhagwan Agarwal, Satish Upadhyay, Tilak Raj Katariya, Aashish Sood and Pawan Sharma.
