ALOR SETAR, Sept 26 – Former Kedah menteri besar Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak died at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here at 11.10am Thursday. He was 69.
Azizan’s family members were at his bedside when he passed away at the hospital’s intensive care unit, said the hospital’s deputy medical director I Dr Norzaini Morad.
The decease is expected to be buried at the Muassasah Darul Ulum at about 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in his Twitter post has offered his condolences to the family of Azizan.
“Al-Fatihah. Condolences to the family of Tan Sri Azizan Abdul Razak on his demise. May his soul be blessed,” the prime minister said.
