KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 – AmBank was named as “Asia’s Outstanding Company” at the Ninth Corporate Governance Asia Recognition Awards 2013 held in Manila organised by the Corporate Governance Asia.
Corporate Governance Asia is the most authoritative journal on Corporate Governance in Asia providing news and analysis on corporate governance issues, boardroom performance and shareholder activitism, the bank said in a statement.
AmBank Group Managing Director Ashok Ramamurthy said the group has established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.
“We are honoured to be recognised as one of Asia’s outstanding companies for corporate governance. This award is a testament to the group’s commitment to embody values of accountability, integrity and governance in its business operations,” he added.
