Kuala Lumpur, Oct 16 – Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said a quality learning environment is essential to improve student outcomes.
The prime minister said that thus the government had allocated RM17 million to upgrade five Tamil national-type schools (SJKT).
Najib said this in his Twitter account when commenting on Bernama’s article headlined ‘Federal Gov’t Approves RM17 Million To Upgrade Five Tamil Schools’.
Two days ago, Deputy Education Minister II P. Kamalanathan announced that RM17 million was approved by the Federal Government in 2012 for the repair and
upgrading of the five schools.
Kamalanathan said the repair work would start by December.
The five schools involved are the SJKT Ladang Valdor, SJKT Mak Mandin and SJKT Ramakrishna in Penang, and SJKT Changlun and SJKT Saraswathy in Kedah.
