New Dehli, Nov 27- Canada-based smartphone maker, BlackBerry, has started rolling out its BBM Social Network, the BBM Channels.
The BBM Channels is a part of the popular instant messaging app, BlackBerry Messenger or BBM, which was launched on Android and iOS devices too recently.
BBM: What all you can do with it
For now, BBM Channels will be available on BlackBerry phones running on OS 5 and above. Later on, the new BBM social networking app will also come to Android and iOS devices. However, there is no announcement about when.
What is BBM Channels?
Well, the leading smartphone maker defines it as “a new social networking feature within BBM that extends the sharing experience beyond your friendship circle -allowing channel creators to amass an unlimited number of followers.”
It enables you to create, edit and publish in an instant. Or connect to the people, communities and brands you love – receive timely posts and participate by commenting on, liking and sharing posts, the product information says on the official website.
How to join BBM Channels?
To join the BBM Channels, one has to login to BlackBerry Beta Zone and create an account using BBID.
BBM Channels is in testing phase and is expected to be launched any moment now.
