Chennai, November 28- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her debut in Tamil films in Iruvar way back in 1997. The actress earned a good name for herself in the Mani Ratnam’s movie. It was noticed by maverick filmmaker Shankar and cast her in Prashanth starrer movie Jeans, which made the actress a popular name in Kollywood. Her real journey begun with this movie, as she started getting good offers from Bollywood.
The actress returned to Tamil with Kandukondain Kandukondain, which starred Ajith Kumar and Mammootty in the leads, in the year 2000. But for the next 10 years, she kept herself busy in the Bollywood, as she could not even do a single movie. As she rose to fame in Hindi films, she turned choosy and she did not come across a perfect script for her return to Kollywood.
Her comeback to Tamil movie was bilingual Raavanan, which starred Vikram in the lead role in Tamil version. Her re-entry movie directed by none other than Mani Ratnam bombed at the Box Office. In the same year (2010), she was seen in Rajinikanth’s science-fiction movie Endhiran – The Robot and it became a blockbuster. Now, she is reportedly making her comeback again.
