Kuala Lumpur, Dec 4 – Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp), today jointly hosted a two-day sector-focused career fair (SFCF) with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to create awareness on career opportunities in the engineering sector.
The SFCF was an initiative by TalentCorp to increase career awareness and develop better understanding of Malaysia’s key economic sectors in line with its objective to optimise Malaysian talent.
“Engineering covers a big scope of work and there are bright prospects for the Malaysian sector, thus SFCF is a great example of how the public and private sectors can come together to provide a platform for students,” said Chief Executive Officer Johan Mahmood Merican in a statement.
More than 20 companies participated in the fair which included Sunway Group, UMW Toyota Sdn Bhd, Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Altera and Frost & Sullivan.
Career talks were also held for students to engage with prominent industry leaders and to interact with companies.
