Bangkok, Dec 27 – A coach plunged off a bridge in Lom Sak district of north Thailand’s Phetchabun province, leaving at least 32 people dead and four others injured, China’s Xinhua news agency reported, citing local media report Friday.
The coach carrying 37 people departed from Khon Kaen province at around 8 p.m. Thursday local time and fell off a 50-meter high bridge on its way to the northeastern Chiang Rai province.
The accident was spotted around midnight and rescue is now under way.
The Chinese embassy in Thailand is now confirming with local police to see if there are any Chinese casualties, and has received no reply yet.
