New Delhi, February 13, 2013- For someone who has made trendsetting her hobbyhorse, Sonam Kapoor once again gave the paparazzi a field day at the press conference of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council and India Trade Promotion Organisation, held at Shangri- La’s Eros Hotel on Tuesday.
The actress was in Delhi to announce the First India Gem & Jewellery Fair, being held in Delhi for the first time from April 6 to 9.
Sonam looked radiant in a stunning peach and silver coloured Suneet Varma sari and diamond choker neckpiece as she unveiled this year’s logo for the event.
“My chief role is to promote the Indian jewellery industry internationally so that more people can come and buy jewellery from India, which happens to be the biggest exporter of diamonds in the world,” she said.
Speaking about her personal style, she revealed: “I like wearing anything that makes me feel ladylike, beautiful and yet is young and fun. Some of my favourite labels include Elie Saab, Chanel, Jean Paul Gautier, John Galliano and Dior. Among the Indian designers, I love Suneet Varma, Sabyasachi, Anamika Khanna, Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla and Tarun Tahiliani.”
While her fashion outings hardly miss the spot, Sonam is taking it easy on the film front. She will be playing a simple girl from UP in Ranjhana who goes to study at JNU.
