Afghanistan, 4 May – Afghan villagers effected from landslide pray for the victims yesterday, as they stand amid debris of their collapsed houses in Argu village, Badakhshan province, Afghanistan.
At least 260 people have been found dead and 300 families are still missing and feared dead in the mudslide in the north-eastern Afghanistan village of Ab-e-Barik in Argu district.
About 2,000 people have fled the area of the fatal mudslide, police said. The disaster occurred on 02 May after heavy rainfall in the mountainous province of Badakhshan, burying an entire village.
