Rahul campaigns in Calcutta

May 9 – National Congress party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi delivers a speech as he attends an election campaign event before ninth phase of the parliamentary elections, in North of Calcutta, Eastern India on 08 May 2014.

Parliamentary elections in India is continuing in nine phases between 07 April and 12 May 2014.

The country’s Election Commission said with a total of 814.6 million are people eligible to vote – around 100 million more than those voted in the elections in 2009.

The 9th and last phase is scheduled to take place on the 12th of May. Counting for all the seats will begin on 16th of May 2014 and the results are expected on the same day.
