Chiang Mai (Thailand), May 15 – Ousted former Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra receives a bunch of roses from supporters at her hometown of Chiang Mai province, northern Thailand, 14 May 2014.
Thai senators debated the merits of appointing an interim government to try and end the country’s political conflict during an informal session.
Meanwhile pressure by anti-government protesters is also mounting as they moved their base closer to parliament after Yingluck is ousted by the Constitution Court.
Thailand’s acting prime minister insisted that new elections were the only way to resolve the protracted political crisis.
