Teluk Intan by-election campaign gets merrier over the weekend

Dyna Teluk Intan 440 x 215TELUK INTAN, May 25  — The campaign for Teluk Intan by-election is getting merrier over the weekend as both the Barisan Nasional (BN) and the DAP candidates and their supporters are going all out to win the hearts of the voters.

Since yesterday, both Datuk Mah Siew Keong and Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud (pic) of BN and DAP respectively were seen to have participated in various programmes to reach out to the voters, with spectators from nearby areas, including Lumut, Sitiawan and Bidor topping up the number of the crowds at each event.

Today, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also BN deputy chairman, also spent time in Teluk Intan to attend various events, including flagging off the participants of the state-level; Purple Walk programme in conjunction with the World Women’s Day and launching the ground-breaking ceremony of West Coast Expressway Project.

Yesterday, two Umno vice-presidents – Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi – also came over to help in the campaign for Mah.

mahsiewkeongMah clearly had a tight schedule to meet with the people in Teluk Intan, including traders, fishermen, voluntary security force and attending a ceramah  in Batu 13, Ayer Hitam, Jalan Bidor today.
Dyana Sofya, on the other hand, continued to be chaperoned by DAP leaders, especially the party advisor, Lim Kit Siang, at all events and programmes to meet with the voters.

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar, was also seen here today to help the 27-year-old candidate in the campaign for the by-election.

Yesterday, PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali also made an appearance here.

A total of 60,349 registered voters would cast their votes at the by-election scheduled for May 31.
