New Delhi, June 17 – Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has extended a helping hand to two of the country’s top women shooters as they prepare for the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games.
The 71-year-old actor has sponsored the training and coaching of Ayonika Paul and Pooja Ghatkar for the two upcoming mega events, a press release said on Monday.
Both athletes are supported by Bachchan as a part of the Medals4India campaign initiated by NGO Olympic Gold Quest, it said.
Ayonika won a gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle at the 2014 Asian championships in Kuwait, while Pooja has a bronze at the World Cup in Maribor, Slovenia.
