PUTRAJAYA, July 11 — Three suspects in the murder of Customs deputy director general Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim have been further remanded by the Magistrate’s Court here for seven days.
Investigating officer DSP Hamzah Buman said two of the suspects, who were detained on Saturday, were siblings aged 31 and 32; one is a welder, the other, a security guard.
The third suspect, a wiring technician aged 20, was remanded on Sunday, he said.
Shaharuddin was shot dead in April last year, while on his way to the office. In the 8.15 am incident, one of two men on a motorcycle fired at the victim at close range as he stopped his four-wheel-drive vehicle at the traffic light at Lebuh Sentosa.
Meanwhile, the remand order on four other suspects who were detained on Tuesday was also extended for another six days.
