PUCHONG, July 17 – Malaysian Biotechnology Corp (BiotechCorp) has launched its first BioShoppe retail presence which features primarily health and beauty products from its stable of BioNexus-status companies.
Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Dr Ewon Ebin, officiated the ceremony here Thursday.
BiotechCorp chief executive, Datuk Dr Mohd Nazlee Kamal, said it was important that science found its way to be translated into the economy for the nation and its people to benefit.”BioShoppe is a key approach taken by BiotechCorp to enhance market access for local biotech products,” Nazlee said in statement.
He said over 80 types of products from functional beverages, cosmetics and bodycare to herbal supplements were selected from 13 BioNexus companies.”We are expecting more similar collaborations in the future,” he said.
Mohd Nazlee said BioNexus-status companies remained at the crux of Malaysia’s bioeconomy, where they contributed close to RM4 billion in investments to the Malaysian economy.
