The Australian Federal Police (AFP) said Sydney-based Khaled Sharrouf and Mohamed Elomar, who are reportedly fighting for Islamic State in Iraq, will be arrested and charged with terrorism offenses if they returned to Australia.
“The warrants relate to alleged terrorism related activity,” the statement said. As these matters are ongoing and yet to be tested before a court, it would not be appropriate for the AFP to comment further,” the statement added.
