KUALA KLAWANG, Feb 21 – The Jelebu 1Malaysia Carnival 2013 will take place at a farmers’ market site here for three days starting tomorrow. State Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Action Committee chairman Datuk Yunus Rahmat said the event provides 84 local entrepreneurs a good platform to introduce and market their products to the public.
“Various products and goods including food items can be found at their stalls. Consumers will have a chance to buy products offered at reasonable prices,” he said here today.
“The carnival also gives entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs an opportunity to obtain advice as well as solve problems with agencies involved through service counters provided,” he said.
Yunus said 30 government departments and agencies will hold an exhibition throughout the carnival. He added that Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim is scheduled to officiate the carnival jointly organised by the Cooperative Consultative Council and Jelebu Agricultural Development Council.
