Delhi, August 19 – Bollywood’s Khan wars took a new turn on Monday when fans of Shah Rukh Khan took on Aamir and Salman Khan supporters on Twitter. The microblogging site was trending with reactions over a cocky quip SRK made over Aamir’s nude poster in PK.
At an event last week, when SRK was announcing a new talent hunt TV show he will shortly anchor, hostess Mini Mathur asked if he had any talent hidden under the belt. “Now it’s getting vulgar… Wait, mujhe lagaa PK poster ki baat kar rahe hain hum (I thought we were speaking of the PK poster),” he had quipped.
Aamir and SRK are not known to have ever been on good terms. On the other hand, Aamir has been a good friend of Salman. This is obviously the reason why Salman fans have rallied support behind Aamir in the ongoing cyber war.
“30 sec BiggBoss teaser is entertaining than HNY trailer (sic),” wrote one Salman fan, mocking Happy New Year, SRK’s upcoming Diwali release. “Kick kicked CE (Chennai Express) and after that PK will kick HNY… kahan ka king?? (sic)” wrote a fan on #SalmanAamirRuleBollywood, while another stressed:
“Top 2 movies in India: Dhoom 3 and Kick! Top 2 movies in overseas: Dhoom 3 and 3 Idiots (sic).” SRK fans, of course, would not sit back quiet. “They need combined fan base to trend but we SRKians are enough to trend singlehandedly,” wrote a fan on #Happy New Year.
