Subang SkyPark group corporate communications manager Sreekala Nambiar said it was believed that the traditionally auspicious lotus and paisley design rangoli, using a variety of coloured powder from orange, yellow and pink to shades of blue and green, would bring positive energy besides serving as a welcoming adornment at the entrance of the airport.

“SkyPark Subang Terminal passengers and shoppers were delighted and amazed to witness our non-Indian staff, along with Indian staff, busy at work on the intricate kolam design.

Sreekala said what started as a fun activity for her staff might very well turn into a business as they were already receiving enquiries and orders from the terminal users.

Meanwhile, employees of Subang SkyPark like Atiqah Sulaiman and Nurhana Fauzana said their involvement in producing the kolam helped them to learn the art as well as understand and appreciate Indian culture even better.
