Kuala Lumpur, February 4 – “I appreciate the feelings expressed by Divisional leaders about the announcement made by the president of mic recently to have re elections at all levels including for all branches and divisions . Many are asking why they should become victims due to the wrong doing of a few specific people at the top.”
“I sympathies with their feelings.While I will support any move to avoid this ,we will wait for the ROS decision before making any further move. The PM has indicated that he will directly intervene and resolve this issue.”
“We hope that his intervention will bring an end to the problems faced by MIC. I am saddened by the fact that the irresponsible acts of a small group in manipulating and distorting the election process has led to a situation where the entire party has to suffer and shoulder the burden.”
“Let us wait for the decision of the Prime Minister and the ROS. Till then I appeal to all party members to be calm and patient. On my part I am willing to do anything to reduce their burden.”
