PUTRAJAYA, Feb 10 – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was seen hugging his wife, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Ismail soon after the Federal Court found him guilty of sodomising Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
He also hugged other family members, including his grandson (Nurul Izzah’S son) saying “remember what I told you, you must go to school.”
The decision was read out by Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria, who led the panel of five judges hearing his appeal in the case.

Opposition leader Anwar,66, and Wan Azizah left the court room at 12.30pm with their heads bowed.
Meanwhile, Mohd Saiful,29, who was Anwar’s personal aide, said he accepted the court’s decision. His lawyer, Zambri Idrus told reporters that Mohd Saiful, who was not present in court, had informed him via a telephone call.
On March 7, 2014, the Court of Appeal overturned the High Court decision in acquitting Anwar and sentenced him to five years’ jail for sodomising Mohd Saiful.
He allegedly committed the offence in Unit 11-5-1 Kondominium Desa Damansara, Jalan Setiakasih, Bukit Damansara, between 3.10pm and 4.30pm on June 26, 2008.
Meanwhile, supporters of Mohd Saiful were seen leaving the Palace of Justice compound after the decision was known.
