Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Kamal Hassan, the Rajkumars and many other prominent names, who have made difference in South cinema, will be coming together on a rare note. To celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema, the big wigs are joining hands. The centenary of Indian cinema will be celebrated by all the South Indian film industries (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam). The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce is ready with a special plan to mark the special occasion. All members of the regional industries will be taking part in the event, which will be held from April 26 to 28. A few days ago, office bearers of South Indian film industries met and discussed about the event. They have planned for a gala event, which could bring all the big names from South.
C Kalyan, president, SIFCC, told Times of India, “This is going to be a grand affair. We are all fortunate to be present to celebrate such a momentous occasion and we thought that south India should kick-start the celebrations.” He further added that the event will be likely held between April 26 and 28 in Chennai. It will also include honouring people, who have made it big in South films. There will also be workshops on filmmaking and other technical aspects.
