Kuala Lumpur, March 2 – The CWC members of MIC, duly elected at the 2009 party elections and recognised by the RoS (Registrar of Societies) are set to meet today at about 6.00 pm at the MIC headquarters. The meeting is expected to be chaired by MIC Deputy President Dato Seri Dr S.Subramaniam.
MIC sources said, the meeting has been called since party President Dato Seri G.Palanivel has failed to call for the CWC meeting as directed by the RoS. The RoS in a letter dated 6 February 2015 had directed MIC to call for the 2009 CWC meeting to appoint a election committee to conduct re-election for the party.
The CWC meeting today is expected to appoint an Election Committee to conduct the party elections as per the directives of the RoS.
The CWC meeting today is also expected to take a stand on the court case filed by MIC Batu Division Chairman A.K.Ramalingam urging the RoS to withdraw all their letters.
