Kuala Lumpur, March 10 – MIC President and Minister for Natural Resources and Environment Dato Seri G.Palanivel has denied the contents in a video being circulated in social media.
“There is a video clip that has been uploaded in the Malaysiakini website with an article entitled “’Video of Palanivel’ Causes Stir”. I believe that the said video clip has also been uploaded onto numerous other websites and in the social media. I categorically state that the contents of the video clip have been doctored and are completely untrue. I have never made and will never make such untrue statements or remarks” said Palanivel in a press statement released today.
Palanivel also said he will lodge a police report on that video clip and will request the Police to conduct thorough investigations and bring those responsible to justice.
“I am appalled that people can stoop to such a low level to doctor untrue video clip for reasons best known to them. I can only see this being the result of the fresh elections for MIC that I have called and the solid show of support by the branch chairmen of MIC to my leadership” he further said.
“I once again reiterate that the contents of the video clip have been unscrupulously doctored and I have not made any such remarks as depicted in the video clip” Palanivel said.
