Jammu, March 20 – The advance online booking of helicopter tickets for Amarnath Yatra 2015 shall commence on March 20, 2015 at 10 AM. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board has made arrangements with Pawan Hans Limited and Global Vectra Helicorps Limited for providing helicopter services on the Neelgrath – Panjtarni – Neelgrath Sector and the Himalayan Helicoptor Services Private Limited for helicopter services on the Pahalgam- Panjtarni-Pahalgam Sector.
Giving further details, PK Tripathi, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, informed that the on-line helicopter ticket booking facility shall be available to the intending Yatris from March 20, 2015 on the websites of the aforesaid companies. The Helicopter operators shall also launch advance booking on March 20, 2015 through their appointed agents.
The Chief Executive Officer, informed that, based on competitive bidding, the one way per passenger helicopter fare for Neelgrath – Panjtarni and Pahalgam – Panjtarni Sector has been fixed at Rs.1950/- and Rs.4190/-, respectively, for Yatra – 2015.
The Yatris who wish to avail heli-service for their pilgrimage are not required to seek advance registration through the designated bank branches as their applications for purchasing helicopter tickets contain the required information and shall be treated as Yatra permits for undertaking the pilgrimage.
However, all yatris will have to produce required compulsory health certificate issued by authorised doctor or institutes which have been notified by the state governments with residential proof before boarding the helicopter services.
Thus, every helicopter travelling yatri shall have to furnish a compulsory health certificate at the time of boarding the helicopter at Neelgrath or Pahalgam, without which the boarding pass will not be issued to the pilgrims.
