YAN (Kedah), March 5- Several PAS members in the Sungai Limau state constituency have called for the resignation of Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak(Pic), claiming that he had become arrogant after becoming the Kedah menteri besar.
Their representative, Mohd Salleh Mad Abu, 61, said they did not rule out the possibility of PAS losing support if Azizan insisted on holding on to power. Mohd Salleh, who is a former member of the PAS security committee of the Yan parliamentary constituency, said Azizan was instrumental in causing disunity in PAS in Kedah.
Another party member, Rahmad Omar, 60, said Azizan should withdraw because he had failed to prevent disunity in the party. Previously, it is believed that 11 Kedah state assemblymen had urged Azizan to step down as the state PAS commissioner because he was considered weak in administrating the party.
