Kuala Lumpur, June 25 – MIC Acting President Dato Seri Dr S.Subramaniam has declared that the CWC meeting called by Dato Seri G.Palanivel today is illegal.
In a press statement released today, Subra said: “There has been news in the media that Dato Seri G.Palanivel is calling a meeting of CWC 2009 in Pullman Hotel on the 25th at 5 pm. I want all MIC members to know that this is an illegal meeting called by a non-member and thus I urge innocent members not to be trapped participating in an illegal meeting”
“G.Palanivel lost his membership on the 24th of February this year. Hence this is an illegal meeting. I request all members of MIC to ignore all statements about this meeting” Subra further noted in his press statement.
“The CWC 2009 recognised by ROS has initiated all measures to expedite the conducting of party elections in compliance with ROS directions and to quickly bring the party to normality. It is an unfortunate tragedy that some former leaders of MIC have through their own irresponsible acts have brought the party to this unfortunate state of affairs. Let us as a party, ignore the continued acrobatics of this group and focus our attention on building up the party” Subra concluded in his press statement.
