KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin Wednesday received a courtesy call from Philippine Vice President Jejomar C. Binay, here. Binay and his delegation are on a three-day working visit to Malaysia from June 17 to 19.
Also present at Wednesday’s meeting were the Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Jose Eduardo E. Malaya III and First Secretary and Consul at the Philippine Embassy Maria Antonina Oblena.
Malaysia’s delegation included Education Ministry’s Secretary-General Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad and Education Director-General Datuk Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof. In the 30-minute meeting, both leaders discussed among others issues on education and the economy.
During his visit to Malaysia, Binay is scheduled to attend several meetings and also the grand opening of the World Scout Bureau Kuala Lumpur Office in Brickfields, Wednesday evening. Binay is the President of the Boys Scouts of the Philippines.
