TANJUNG MALIM — PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang today asked PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to reveal the identities of PAS leaders alleged to have received “cuts” from RM90 million donated by UMNO.
The RM90 million is alleged to have been siphoned out from Malaysian strategic development company 1Malaysia Development Fund, which has made world headlines for the wrong reasons.
“We will make a statement after he (Anwar) reveals the names,” he told reporters here yesterday (21 April).
Anwar, who is also Port Dickson MP, at a forum in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, on Friday, had claimed that he had the details on the matter and would reveal the identities of the recipients very soon.
The 1MDB scandal has seen former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak who is also a former UMNO president, facing a slew of criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering charges.
The UMNO donation is said to have been made during Najib’s time.
