Putra Jaya, July 13 – The Court of Appeal has dismissed with costs the appeal against the KL High Court decision delivered on 15th June in respect of the Judicial Review application filed by Datuk Seri G.Palanivel and four others against the Registrar of Societies (RoS).
Federal Counsel Amarjeet Singh appeared for the RoS while former BAR Council President Ragunath Kesavan appeared for Palanivel.
Former Court of Appeal Judge Gopal Sri Ram (pic) appeared for the 2009 CWC which was allowed as an Intervener in this case.
With his appeal rejected by the Court of Appeal, Palanivel’s political future in MIC appears to have come to an end. His membership in MIC has also ceased due to the interpretation of clause 91 of MIC Constitution.
