Kuala Lumpur, Jan 11 – Carpet merchant Deepak Jaikishan (pic) said he was prepared to reveal all the dirt from his dealings involving powerful personalities in the government at Pakatan Rakyat’s mega rally tomorrow if the opposition coalition can guarantee him immunity if it comes to power.
“If they give me immunity tonight, tomorrow I will go on stage and reveal everything at Stadium Merdeka,” he told Malaysiakini in an interview tonight.
“They don’t need to put anything in writing, they just need to come up to the press, announce… I will be given the status of state witness and I will be fully protected by the Whistleblowers Act, I’m all the way out,” he said.
He added that he will be at Stadium Merdeka tomorrow to witness and experience Pakatan’s Himpunan Kebangkitan Rakyat (People’s Uprising Rally).
Asked why he was seeking immunity from Pakatan which in not in power instead of the present government, Deepak said he was confident that the opposition coalition would come to power.
“I am ready, I am willing, I have the courage to do it (expose)… I call on Anwar Ibrahim, Abdul Hadi Awang, Tok Guru Nik Aziz (Nik Mat), Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, please give me this undertaking – that I will be a state witness – I will go all the way out with every corrupt misdeeds of the present government that I know of.”
‘BN wouldn’t dare prosecute me’
While admitting he had not been an “angel” in the past, Deepak said he was not interested in getting immunity from the present government as they will not dare to prosecute him.
“For the present government, in order to prosecute me, they will have to prosecute themselves because all the evidence will point to themselves,” he said.
Presently, Deepak said he did not approve of PKR’s expose concerning him as they were not accurate as only he had complete documentary evidence.
