KANGAR, March 16- The general election is not a channel for the people to experiment a change in the government, but for them to renew the mandate to a government which has proven capable of developing the nation. Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu(Pic) said the people had and would continue to enjoy the benefits under the Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
“We can make a change, but not a change in the government,” he said in his speech at the opening of a road upgrading project here last night. The text of Md Isa’s speech was read by the State Culture, Youth and Sports Committee chairman Abdul Jamil Saad.
On the road upgrading project, involving the 1.73km stretch of Jalan Kampung Bakau – Simpang Tiga, costing RM25 million, he said, it was among promises made by the government which had been fulfilled.
