“We learnt from the mistakes of the last election where every mistake is immediately attended to and studied why the rakyat had protested then to the extent that the BN had lost in Selangor.
“We also visited every house regardless of the status of the tenants. If the family concerned was facing difficulty, we provided aid including seeking the cooperation of the Social Welfare Department (JKM),” he told reporters after officiating at the Football championship at Taman Dengkil Jaya, here today.
Asked whether he would be defending his seat, Marsum said this would be decided by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also BN chairman. In the last general election, he beat the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate, Ishammudin Ismail, with a majority of 3,367 votes.
