Muhyiddin receives courtesy call from PBTM

muhyiddin-yassinPUTRAJAYA, April 2 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin received a courtesy call from the president of the Ex-Servicemen Association of Malaysia (PBTM), Admiral (R) Tan Sri Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor and several members of its new exco at the Perdana Putra Complex, here today.

It was their first visit to the deputy prime minister after the exco took on its position.  Meanwhile, speaking to reporters after the hour-long meeting, Mohd Anwar said,” On the whole, we’re satisfied with the government’s attention to our welfare. Furthermore, many initiatives have also been announced by them recently.”

He said during the meeting PBTM had also broached its intention of merging the existing 61 Malaysian Armed Forces veteran organisations in order to coordinate and raise common issues which cropped up.  PBTM also asked for the government’s help to enable veteran armed forces personnel to own their own house he added.

“We will work with the government and Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) to build houses at below market prices,” he said.
