Terengganu MB to seek dissolution of state assembly soon

3KUALA TERENGGANU, April 3 – Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said(pic) is to have an audience with the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, soon to seek the dissolution of the state legislative assembly for the state election to be held simultaneously with the 13th general election.

The sultan is expected to return from abroad tonight, he told reporters after chairing the weekly meeting of the state executive council at Wisma Darul Iman, here, today. The current term of the Terengganu legislative assembly expires on May 5. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat at 11.30 am today to enable the 13th general election to be held. Terengganu has eight parliamentary and 32 state seats.
