Following that, he would seek an audience with Kedah Council of Regency chairman Tan Sri Tunku Annuar Sultan Badlishah here to seek his consent to dissolve the state assembly.
“I am going (to Istana Negara) tomorrow. For Kedah, we have to inform the Sultan of Kedah first. We have to look at Tunku’s date first, subject to Istana Negara..,only after that can we seek consent from the Council of Regency to dissolve the state assembly,” he told a media conference here.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak when announcing the dissolution of the Dewan Rakyat in Putrajaya this morning had advised to the states to also dissolve their state assemblies as well so that the 13th general election could be held simulataneously with state elections, except for Sarawak which held its state election 2011.
