“We have been working hard in the areas we lost in the last elections, unlike the opposition who dissappeared after the elections and now suddenly they resurface,” he said.
Meanwhile, Johor Gerakan chairman, Datuk Teo Kok Chee said he would call for a meeting soon on the final preparations to further strengthen its election machinery. Teo, who will lead the election machinery, said as a BN component party, Gerakan had been actively preparing its election machinery since three years ago.
“We have no problem in helping the party to win. With about 200 members on board in every seat, we are ready to counter the opponents, especially in our mission to win back the Skudai seat which was won by DAP in the last general election,” he said.
On Feb 12, Teo confirmed he would not contest the Skudai seat to make way for a new candidate, saying he was confident that a young candidate with very high potential could wrest back the hot seat.
