PUTRAJAYA, June 11 – Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today received a courtesy call from Prof Dr Chen Jining, the president of Tsinghua University, Haidian, Beijing, China.
Prof Dr Chen who was making his first visit to Malaysia came with a delegation of ten people.
He met with Muhyiddin, who is also Minister of Education, for about one hour at the deputy prime minister’s office here.
A spokesman for the delegation said Tsinghua University is interested to undertake cooperation with Malaysia in the education field.
Tsinghua University which offers engineering and technical courses is among China’s top university and recognised as among the top six university in Asia.
