PUTRAJAYA, June 12- Acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein will inspect motorcycle lanes alleged to be poorly maintained and unsafe for road users.
He urged the public to give feedback on motorcycle lanes and roads that should be upgraded and repaired to ensure the safety of road users.
“The ministry has established a special unit to get public feedback. We hope the people will give us some time to overcome the problems.”
Presently, motorycle lanes are only available on the federal highway. National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye had urged the Works Ministry to repair motorcyle lanes to make them safe for road users.
