KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim (photo) said RM400 million was spent for the 13th general election (GE13).
He said the amount included overtime payment of RM5.081 million and RM98.465 million for logistics, which included vehicle rentals, ICT equipment and lease line
It also included service and token payment for workers, totalling RM204.1 million and other expenses RM92.354 million, he added.
Shahidan said this in a written answer to a question by Loke Siew Fook (DAP-Seremban), which was distributed to the media at the Parliament lobby here today.
Loke wanted to know the cost incurred in the handling of the 13th general election and the government agencies involved.
