He said this followed Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s statement Wednesday that the government would study the payment of a bonus for civil servants for the Aidilfitri.
“Cuepacs thanked the prime minister for considering Cuepacs’ application for bonus for civil servants.
“Cuepacs is confident that the prime minister will give a favourable consideration in the matter,” he told reporters at the breaking of fast hosted by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa at Puspanitapuri here tonight.
Cuepacs has called on the government to give a half month bonus for civil servants even though they would be getting a pay rise this month.
Also present were International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and members of diplomatic missions.
At the event, Dr Ali and his wife, Puan Sri Rohani Abdullah presented RM10,000 each from Puspanita to four orphanages and aid to 100 orphans before joining others for the Maghrib, Isyak and tarawih prayers.
