SHAH ALAM, July 27- The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, on Friday joined about 2,500 people in a ‘Yassin’ recital, ‘tahlil’ prayers and ‘doa selamat’ at the Tengku Ampuan Jemaah Mosque in Bukit Jelutong here in conjunction with Warriors Day 2013.
The event, which was led by Selangor Mufti Datuk Mohd Tamyes Abdul Wahid, was also attended by the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah; Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and 11th Brigade commander Datuk Mohamad Khir Abdullah.
About 400 military and police officers and personnel and 500 students of religious education centres in Klang, TTDI Jaya and Section 7, Shah Alam, were among those who attended the event.
The congregation then performed the Friday prayers.
