KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 3- Hybrid airline, Malindo Air, has started to sell tickets from its new kiosk in KL Sentral for the convenience of passengers returning home for the Hari Raya holidays.
In a statement today, Malindo said the ticket sales started from July 31 and will end on Aug 30.
Chief Executive Officer, Chandran Rama Muthy, said the opening of the kiosk was in line the airline’s expansion plan in terms of ticket sales and distribution while extending the convenience and comfort of its services.
“KL Sentral is the best place to set up our kiosk as it is easily accessible to everyone, especially those travelling on public transportation,” he said.
He said the airline will be looking to open more ticketing kiosks as it has now grown in size and reach, and the scale of its routes has also expanded.
Chandran said guests could buy the airline’s ‘Balik Kampung’ special fares offering, with prices as low as RM49, to destinations in Peninsular Malaysia, while for guests flying to Sabah and Sarawak, tickets were also available from RM109.
He said the airline’s another ongoing campaign was the offer of 10,000 free seats for travellers departing from Subang Airport to destinations in Peninsular Malaysia.
“The airline will waive the ticket fare and guests only need to pay for the airport tax plus fees starting from as low as RM29,” he said.
Chandran said the airline today received the delivery of its second ATR72-600 aircraft from Toulouse, France, expanding its fleet to six aircraft — two ATR72-600s and four Boeing 737-900ERs.
